Eleanor Pritchard at designjunction
We are excited to be returning to designjunction this year for the London Design Festival. We will be showing our Aerial upholstery fabrics alongside a selection of our signature blankets.
All of our woven fabrics reflect a love pattern and colour and an aesthetic that is clean and contemporary with a nod to British mid-century design. Our signature style is characterized by pared-back geometrics and graphic reversible patterns, drawing inspiration from architectural reference and found pattern in the urban environment.
This year for designjunction we will have a particular focus on our upholstery fabrics. The Aerial range is a collection of reversible double-cloth designs with discreet geometric patterning and a strong graphic quality. The palette includes deep inky tones, cross-hatched greys, hot oranges, straw yellows and black and white marls. The range draws inspiration from sound and radio waves, and the fabric names reference UK transmitter masts.
The upholstery fabrics are all designed and sampled by Eleanor in the London studio and are woven on the Isle of Bute.
The Aerial collection has been used on numerous projects including furniture by Artek, Robin Day, Malmsten, Sfera (Kyoto), Hitch Mylius, Assemblyroom, Isokon Plus and Modus.
For our stand at designjunction 2017 we are planning an abstract installation of geometric shapes playing with ideas of layering and visual alignment.
There is more information on the ideas behind our stand on our blog post here.
