Royal Designer for Industry, Matthew Hilton will introduce a range of accessories at The Tramshed to mark 5 years of his eponymous brand.
The accessories provide greater context for his furniture, while reflecting the same quality, attention to detail and sculptural yet functional forms for which he is known. New accessories launching at The Tramshed include three candlesticks machined from solid brass: Egg, a simple feminine weight for the base of a candle; Industry, inspired by the huge piston arms of steam engines with ecclesiastical references; and Honeycomb, interlocking hexagonal tea light holders in three heights, designed to become a playful and animated centrepiece. Cocoon, also in machined solid brass, is a sensuous container to hold one’s most precious things. Also launching are two rugs, Tile and Link, inspired by a walk through the streets of the old town of Porto, the patterns and textures simplified, extrapolated, reduced and re-proportioned. The accessories will be presented with new and classic furniture from Matthew Hilton.
