#inspired by – in association with TfL


TfL in association with designjunction announce the launch the #inspiredby campaign.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Johnston font, Transport for London (TfL) calls on Londoners to celebrate the incredible design heritage of the capital’s transportation system, by tweeting to their Giant Twitter Machine with the hashtag #inspiredby.

Designed by Florian Dussopt and originally commissioned by KK Outlet to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the iconic typeface – the Giant Twitter Machine will be taking the digital back to the analogue and will be printing out twitter in real time messages with the hashtag #inspiredby. The printed messages will displayed at designjunction along with a series of posters celebrating the Johnston 100 font created by some of the world’s best graphic agencies including Monotype and Pentagram.

Tweets can be sent from Monday 19 September until the end of the show on Sunday 25th September. The best printed tweet relating to the subject of “Transport” will receive a signed Alan Kitching print worth over £100 courtesy of TfL. The best printed tweets relating to “Design” will be awarded prizes throughout the run of the show courtesy of designjunction.
