Stickingsticks by Kawamura Ganjavian
Stickingsticks is a modular partition system, currently being developed by Modus in collaboration with Kawamura Ganjavian, consisting of a kit of different length tubes wrapped in strips of Velcro. The products flexibility allows the tubes to connect through the use of VELCRO making it quick and easy to create room divisions. Stickingsticks product is designed in collaboration with VELCRO and will be used throughout the press office and VIP Suite at Designjunction.
AODH launches the MALT family of chairs
AODH aims to develop furniture that unites good design, craft and ecology. Creating honest pieces of furniture with a timeless aesthetic, grounded in values close to Ireland’s heart. The Malt Series designed by Tom Kelley is a family of 9 chairs, made in solid oak. The seating collection works well in either a contract or residential environment. Although there is a strong likeness across the collection each piece is distinctively different and will be shown for the first time in the UK this September
Spectacular interactive LED chandelier
Beau McClellan Design will showcase a spectacular interactive LED chandelier at designjunction alongside their debut lighting collection. Nomad is an impressive 5m long lighting installation made up of 200 individual components, using the studio’s signature glass mirror-coating finish, reflecting the interior by day and becoming semi-transparent at night, when illuminated by LEDs. Each of the LEDs used in this stunning piece can be individually controlled to create numerous colour effects and variations using a touch screen, ipad or iphone. The light from the LED is cleverly diffused through frosted hand-ground crystal which magnifies the light, creating warm pastel shades of colour.
