Provenance is a huge watchword in design right now. Where and how objects are produced and their impact on the environment is increasingly important to the design community and the general public alike.
Stickingsticks is a modular partition system, currently being developed by Modus in collaboration with Kawamura Ganjavian, consisting of a kit of different length tubes wrapped in strips of Velcro. The products flexibility allows the tubes to connect through the use of VELCRO making it quick and easy to create room divisions. Stickingsticks product is designed in collaboration with VELCRO and will be used throughout the press office and VIP Suite at Designjunction.
AODH aims to develop furniture that unites good design, craft and ecology. Creating honest pieces of furniture with a timeless aesthetic, grounded in values close to Ireland’s heart. The Malt Series designed by Tom Kelley is a family of 9 chairs, made in solid oak. The seating collection works well in either a contract or residential environment. Beau McClellan Design will showcase a spectacular interactive LED chandelier at designjunction alongside their debut lighting collection. Nomad is an impressive 5m long lighting installation made up of 200 individual components, using the studio’s signature glass mirror-coating finish, reflecting the interior by day and becoming semi-transparent at night, when illuminated by LEDs. Each of the LEDs used in this stunning piece can be individually controlled to create numerous colour effects and variations using a touch screen, ipad or iphone. The light from the LED is cleverly diffused through frosted hand-ground crystal which magnifies the light, creating warm pastel shades of colour.www.beaumcclellan.com

Award-winning Pinch Design, a partnership between Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon will showcase their latest collection at designjunction including the new Holland Park School chair made by Ercol – a solid wood stacking classroom chair available with an upholstered seat and armchair version.
Also on display will be Pinch’s new extending Harper table, the Imo Bar Stools, Imo Folding Stools, Clyde Side Tables, the Iona Cheval mirror and the Brody high back armchair.
The Design Museum is currently celebrating the career of Kenneth Grange, Britain’s leading product designer. His career spans over 50 years and he is responsible for designing some of the most iconic products that shape our daily lives including Kodak cameras, the Intercity 125 train and Kenwood food mixers.www.designmuseum.org

Innermost will showcase a small selection of new work from their international stable of design talent for the first time in the UK. Dezeen Watch Store will showcase their latest collection of boutique brands at designjunction with a temporary pop-up watch store. Established in 2010 by online design magazine Dezeen, the store stocks some of the world’s coolest watches by some of the world’s coolest brands. Dezeen Watch Store will feature new additions to their existing collection as well as Dezeen’s new book, Dezeen Book of Ideas.
